Thermoheads began to produce in the middle of
the twentieth century. It quickly entered into our lives. Now, many articles
have been written about them, many videos have been shot, and many thermoheads
has been installed. I thought that the question "How to install a thermohead?"
is no longer relevant. At least for installers. However, in the working process,
I constantly come across cases of improper mounting of thermoheads. Therefore,
I decided to write an article on how to properly install it.
Do not vertically up, as shown in picture 2.
In addition, not vertically down (Fig. 3). In this position, the internal sensor of the head incorrectly measures the temperature of the internal air. The effectiveness of the system and comfort reduced.
In the case where the thermohead is located close to the windowsill, the air circulation deteriorates or completely stops. There is a local overheating of air near the head, and the efficiency of its work reduced.
In
the event of a situation in item 1-point 5, many manufacturers offer a solution
- a thermal head with a remote sensor (Fig. 5.1) or an external mechanism (Fig.
5.2).
Then it can be placed, as shown in picture 6.
As you can see, the rules are few and simple. I hope this information will help to properly mount and use these products. This will lead to an increase in the efficiency of heating systems and a reduction in energy costs.

For a better perception of the rules,
let's consider them on examples of "how to do not need."
1. The thermohead should be installed horizontally only.
Picture 2. Thermoheads should not be installed vertically upwards |
Do not vertically up, as shown in picture 2.
Picture 3. Thermal head should not be installed vertically downwards |
In addition, not vertically down (Fig. 3). In this position, the internal sensor of the head incorrectly measures the temperature of the internal air. The effectiveness of the system and comfort reduced.
2. The distance to the windowsill from the body
of the thermal head should be a minimum of 200 mm.
Picture 4. Thermostatic head should not be installed close to the windowsill and vertically |
In the case where the thermohead is located close to the windowsill, the air circulation deteriorates or completely stops. There is a local overheating of air near the head, and the efficiency of its work reduced.
3. The thermal head should not
be covered with curtains. In this case, there is a local overheating of the
air. The device will start closing earlier than necessary.
4. Do not allow the head to be
in direct sunlight.
5. The distance from the body
of the head to the wall should be more than 150 mm

Then it can be placed, as shown in picture 6.

As you can see, the rules are few and simple. I hope this information will help to properly mount and use these products. This will lead to an increase in the efficiency of heating systems and a reduction in energy costs.
